"Thanks for this and for having an affordable and easy to use solution, which utilizes the new Auracast technology. We are a congregation of about 750 members and just prior to 2020 we made some significant technological updates to our historic Meetinghouse (built in 1895 and expanded in 1966). Parts of our upgrades were to include monitors, which allows us to offer live-captioning for those who have a hard time hearing. We pride ourselves on being open and welcoming to all and part of that offer comes in making sure our service is accessible for those with special needs.
About 150 people attend our Sunday morning 10 am worship services. I am very interested in the Auracast technology and the way it easily communicates with multiple hearing aid users (at least those with the newer models). As far as I know, 3 users are currently using the direct to hearing aid devices. We have one young girl with cochlear implants and the system works seamlessly with her implants. Nobody currently uses the headphones. Our older members have never adopted this technology. We’ve had this type of assisted device for years and nobody consistently chooses to use it.
Our experience has been great and the feedback I’ve received has been very positive. The system is intuitive and easy to use.
Attached are some photos of the Meetinghouse and our tech booth where the transmitter is located. The transmitter easily covers the entire worship space."
"Our space is for 180 with 30 in attendance. We decided primarily because of the 100% guarantee and freedom to test and explore 2 use their hearing aids and one with headphones. Feedback has exceeded everyone's expectations with significant gratefulness."
"We set up the system at our church and were able to plug it directly into our sound desk. One of our older members tried it and said it helped her hear better. We’re still encouraging more people to test it, but the system has already shown real value for church listening."
