A future-proof ALD system that works with hearing aids, earbuds, and simple receivers.
Simple setup. No construction. No loop wiring.
Many traditional church ALD solutions were built for older technology and can be costly or difficult to expand. Auracast, based on Bluetooth LE Audio, is a new-generation approach that is future-ready and increasingly supported by modern hearing devices—helping churches improve accessibility today while staying prepared for what’s next.
Hearing loops and FM systems often rely on fixed infrastructure or dedicated receivers. Auracast broadcasts audio wirelessly so listeners can join with compatible hearing aids, earbuds/headphones, or simple receivers—without construction or complex setup.
An Auracast transmitter connects to your existing audio source (typically your mixer/PA output). Once connected and powered, it broadcasts a named audio stream for congregants to join. This is usually a plug-and-play installation with no loop wiring or building modifications.
It depends on the hearing aid model. Auracast support is expanding across hearing aids, and many newer devices are adding compatibility. For those without Auracast-enabled hearing aids today, churches can offer simple plug-and-play receivers so everyone can hear clearly without needing to troubleshoot personal devices during service.
Auracast is designed for broadcast listening, so it can support a large number of listeners at the same time. Capacity is not limited like traditional one-to-one pairing. In practice, it’s well-suited for church services, special events, and overflow seating.
No. Auracast is a Bluetooth LE Audio broadcast system and does not require Wi-Fi or Internet to deliver audio. (Some venues may optionally use signage or QR codes to guide guests, but the audio broadcast itself does not rely on Wi-Fi.)
Auracast supports multiple streams by using multiple transmitters. Churches can broadcast different audio sources such as the main service and interpretation at the same time. Congregants simply choose the stream they want to hear, without interference between streams.
Churches can run private or controlled broadcasts by clearly naming streams and enabling access control (such as passwords) where needed. This makes Auracast suitable for public services as well as smaller group meetings or sessions where privacy is important.
