Auracast or Non-Auracast?

Choose based on how listeners join, how much control staff need, and whether compatibility with emerging Auracast devices matters.

Choose Non-Auracast when

You need a closed fleet with a fixed workflow

  • Every listener will use a venue-issued receiver or headset
  • You need established multi-channel group switching
  • Ultra-low latency is the overriding requirement
  • Supporting personal Auracast hearing devices is not required

Frequently asked questions

Before you choose an Auracast kit

Confirm the listening workflow first, then select the number and style of dedicated receivers your venue wants to manage.

Does a complete system include everything needed to start?

Each system includes the core components shown on its product page. Transmitter type, listening devices, charging equipment, cables and accessories vary by kit, so confirm the package contents before ordering.

Are Auracast hearing aids automatically compatible?

No. The hearing aid model must support Auracast, and its software may need to be updated. Confirm the exact model with Venucast’s compatibility checker before deployment.

How many listeners can use one system?

The kit quantity is the number of dedicated receivers included for venue handout. Compatible personal Auracast devices may also join. Plan the managed receiver count around expected accessibility demand, not total room capacity alone.

Do receivers need to be paired one by one?

Auracast uses broadcast selection rather than traditional one-to-one Bluetooth pairing. The exact join flow depends on the receiver, hearing aid, headphone, app, and broadcast settings.

Can we add more receivers later?

Yes. The receiver pool can be expanded with compatible devices. Confirm dock capacity, charging workflow, and receiver compatibility when planning an expansion.

Does Auracast support multiple channels?

Selected AirCast and receiver configurations support multiple broadcast choices. Confirm the exact channel workflow and receiver controls for the kit you are considering.

What affects coverage?

Transmitter location, line of sight, walls, seating layout, interference, and installation height all matter. A quoted maximum range is not a guarantee for every venue, so larger or obstructed spaces should be reviewed before purchase.

When should we choose a Non-Auracast system?

Choose a closed Non-Auracast fleet when every listener will use venue-issued equipment, established multi-channel switching or ultra-low latency is the primary need, and personal Auracast device compatibility is not required.
