“We are still in the beginning stages of using it. But the few times someone has, they have had nothing but good experiences.”

Dan Mellitz · Auditorium Manager

The setting

A wide auditorium with more than 1,600 seats, where accessible listening needs to work across the seating area.

A first connection

A patron who thought connecting would be difficult received a prompt on his phone and joined quickly and easily.

Early feedback

Mellitz reports positive experiences from the few uses so far, with no glitches from corner to corner during their use.

A patron’s first connection

One patron arrived unsure whether he would be able to connect to the listening system. According to Mellitz, the patron’s phone prompted him to join—and he connected quickly and easily.

Listening in a large auditorium

With its wide seating area, coverage matters at Williams Auditorium. “The coverage is incredible,” Mellitz said, reporting no glitches from corner to corner during their use so far. These are encouraging early observations as the venue continues introducing the system to patrons.

Would they recommend it?

Asked whether they would recommend the listening system, Mellitz answered: “Yes, definitely.”
